Accurate sink and faucet repair starts with identifying the exact source of the problem before parts are removed or repairs begin.
On-Time Plumbing approaches every repair with organized diagnostics, proper fixture inspection, and repair methods designed to solve the issue correctly instead of temporarily masking the symptoms.
Our sink repair in Shelbyville covers kitchen and bathroom fixtures across residential and commercial properties.
Every repair starts with identifying where the failure is happening, which components are affected, and whether the issue involves the fixture, the drain assembly, or the connected plumbing below.
We assess the basin, drain assembly, supply connections, shutoff valves, and cabinet area before any repair begins — checking for active leaks, corrosion, drainage restriction, and hidden moisture using drain inspection tools and direct fixture testing.
Our inspection covers:
Cracks, loose mounting hardware, and failing perimeter seals compromise both water containment and fixture stability.
We inspect the basin for structural damage, reinforce mounting points, reseal gaps allowing water intrusion, and confirm stability and containment before closing the repair.
When a drain assembly corrodes, the gasket deteriorates, or the strainer loosens, water leaks directly into the cabinet below.
We remove the failed assembly, inspect for corrosion and gasket failure, reseat the drain connection, and leak test the basin before the repair is closed.
Cracked supply lines and failing shutoff valves are a frequent source of under-sink water damage that spreads before becoming visible.
We inspect lines and valves for corrosion, cracking, and connection failure, replace damaged components, and check surrounding fittings for secondary moisture before restoring flow.
A loose, cracked, or misaligned P-trap allows sewer gas into the property and causes persistent drain odor.
We inspect the full drain path, confirm trap alignment and slope, replace deteriorated sections, and test drainage flow and odor protection after the repair is complete.
A clogged sink develops when grease, soap residue, food debris, hair, or sediment restricts flow inside the drain line.
The clearing method depends on blockage type, drain depth, and whether the restriction is near the fixture or deeper in the branch line.
Hand augers for localized sink clogs
Drain snakes for deeper branch line blockages
Hair and debris extraction from bathroom drains
Drain flow testing after clearing is complete
Our faucet repair in Shelbyville identifies the exact failure point inside the fixture before any part is touched, covering kitchen and bathroom faucets across residential and commercial properties throughout Middle Tennessee.
Faucet leaks originate from different points depending on fixture design, internal valve type, and water pressure conditions.
We inspect the faucet body, handle base, spout connections, cartridges, stems, and supply lines — testing pressure and temperature control to confirm the exact source before the repair begins.
The cartridge controls water flow and temperature in most modern faucets. When it wears down or cracks internally, the faucet drips even when fully shut off.
We disassemble the fixture, inspect the cartridge and valve seat for wear and mineral buildup, and install the correct replacement matched to the fixture model.
Ceramic disc faucets rely on two polished discs and tight sealing surfaces to control flow. Cracked discs or deteriorated seals cause leaks around the spout or handle during use.
We inspect the disc assembly, replace failed components, clean internal buildup restricting handle movement, and test pressure control and leak prevention after reassembly.
Ball faucets use a rotating ball assembly with springs, rubber seats, and internal seals that wear down over time — causing drips, handle base leaks, and inconsistent pressure.
We examine the full internal assembly, replace worn springs, seats, and O-rings matched to the fixture model, and confirm smooth handle operation before the repair is closed.
Worn, hardened, or cracked O-rings and seals cause leaks at the handle base, spout connection, and internal valve assembly.
We check the full set of sealing components during every faucet repair, replace all deteriorated parts in a single visit, and test for leak-free performance after reassembly.
Loose, stiff, or unresponsive handles indicate wear inside the stem assembly or damage at the handle-to-valve connection.
We inspect the stem, check for stripped fittings and damaged threads, replace worn components, and confirm full pressure and temperature control before the repair is complete.
Low pressure at a single faucet points to a localized restriction inside the fixture or its supply components.
We test flow rate and pressure consistency, inspect the aerator for mineral and sediment buildup, check the cartridge and internal valve for restriction, and test the shutoff valve and supply line before restoring normal pressure through cleaning or component replacement.
Most sink and faucet problems are component failures, not fixture failures. A dripping faucet, leaking supply line, or corroded strainer rarely means the entire fixture needs replacing — it means a specific part has worn down.
Repair is the right call when:
Replacement becomes the more practical option when:
Our team assesses the full fixture condition during every diagnostic visit and gives an honest recommendation either way. When corrosion or deterioration extends beyond the fixture into the supply lines or pipe connections throughout the property, we evaluate whether repiping is the more durable long-term solution.
Every property has different fixtures — here’s what we service across Shelbyville and Middle Tennessee.

I was selling my house in Tennessee and the buyers agent hired Scott's Septic Tank Service to inspect the mainline and septic tank. Scott's told the agent that there was tree root intrusion in the mainline as it discharged into the septic tank and they took a cell phone photo of the "root intrusion." I personally opened the septic tank and found it to be hair that was sticking to the edge of the mainline. My agent then contacted Scott's to ask for video proof if the mainline had a camera run down it. They adamantly said it was tree roots and no video was taken. They estimated the cost, to rip us off, to seal the mainline from future "root intrusion" at $1400 on an eight year old house with no trees nearby. I called LEY Plumbing scheduled the next day for them to run a camera. They showed up earlier than scheduled and confirmed NO ROOT INTRUSION. The crew was very professional and courteous. We highly recommend them for service because they are honest. The photo was taken by Scott's Septic Tank Service.Posted on Google![]()
