When a toilet fails, On-Time Plumbing is the toilet plumber Shelbyville homes and businesses call first.
Our team diagnoses the full system before recommending any repair or installation — so the solution holds, and the same problem does not come back.
Our toilet repair services cover a wide range of problems — from worn internal tank components to drain restrictions deeper in the connected line.
Here’s how On-Time Plumbing diagnoses and repairs the most common toilet issues found in Shelbyville homes and businesses.
A clogged toilet develops when an obstruction forms inside the toilet trap or further down the branch drain line.
Repeated plunging moves the blockage temporarily without addressing what’s actually causing the restriction.
How we repair it:
A leaking toilet spreads moisture beneath the flooring and around the flange area long before visible damage appears at the base.
We use moisture meters and leak detection tools to confirm how far the water has traveled before any repair begins — the source determines the fix.
Our repair process:
A running toilet wastes hundreds of gallons of water monthly and signals that internal components have stopped sealing or cycling correctly. The constant refilling sound is the most obvious sign — but the cause varies by component.
Our approach:
A toilet that rocks or shifts during use puts stress on the wax ring seal with every movement. Left unaddressed, the mounting failure allows water to spread beneath the flooring around the flange area.
What we do on arrival:
Getting toilet installation right the first time protects the flooring, prevents leaks at the base, and ensures reliable flushing performance for years of daily use.
On-Time Plumbing installs and replaces toilets for every property type and usage need in Shelbyville.
A new toilet performs reliably when the flange, drain alignment, flooring, and supply components are in good condition before the fixture goes in.
Our toilet installation process includes:
An older toilet that leaks repeatedly, rocks at the base, or flushes inefficiently costs more to maintain than replacing it.
Toilet replacement also allows homeowners and businesses to upgrade to water-efficient fixtures with improved flushing performance and lower monthly water usage.
Our process includes:
Our team works with all major toilet brands and matches the replacement fixture to the property’s plumbing setup, usage needs, and space requirements before installation begins.
Every toilet type has its own flushing assembly, mounting configuration, and internal components. Our repair and installation approach is matched to the specific fixture.
Commercial fixtures use pressure-assisted and valve-based flushing systems that operate differently from residential models. Our team services both.

I was selling my house in Tennessee and the buyers agent hired Scott's Septic Tank Service to inspect the mainline and septic tank. Scott's told the agent that there was tree root intrusion in the mainline as it discharged into the septic tank and they took a cell phone photo of the "root intrusion." I personally opened the septic tank and found it to be hair that was sticking to the edge of the mainline. My agent then contacted Scott's to ask for video proof if the mainline had a camera run down it. They adamantly said it was tree roots and no video was taken. They estimated the cost, to rip us off, to seal the mainline from future "root intrusion" at $1400 on an eight year old house with no trees nearby. I called LEY Plumbing scheduled the next day for them to run a camera. They showed up earlier than scheduled and confirmed NO ROOT INTRUSION. The crew was very professional and courteous. We highly recommend them for service because they are honest. The photo was taken by Scott's Septic Tank Service.Posted on Google![]()
